Barcelona dominated Villarreal 3-0 on Thursday night, returning to winning ways after their Clasico loss the previous weekend.

Robert Lewandowski scored the first two goals in the first half, and Ansu Fati added another before the break.

Barca coach Xavi said, "We played a great game, it was our turn, we had to react.

"It wasn't easy because a lot was expected of us after the bad results. There are many expectations this season and we showed our face and showed character. We scored three goals against a team that received the least and there's good feelings in general.

On Fati, he added: "It must be very important, it depends on your mentality, how you train.
