Al Nassr were eliminated from the Saudi Super Cup on Thursday (Jan 26) after a 3-1 semi-final defeat to Al Ittihad in Riyadh.

The 37-year-old Portugal international and five-time Ballon D'Or winner had a couple of chances to score but was denied by the Al Ittihad defense for the most part.

Al Nassr's 67th-minute goal by Anderson Talisca was insufficient to overcome Al Ittihad's two first-half goals by Romarinho and Abderrazak Hamdallah.

Muhannad Al-Shanqeeti added three minutes of stoppage time.

In the Saudi Pro League on February 3, Al Nassr will face Al Fateh.
