On Wednesday, Manchester City will play Leeds United at Elland Road in the Premier League.
With 15 points, Leeds United is 15th in the table. They went down 0-1 at Wolves in the League Cup and 3-4 at Tottenham in their last two games before the World Cup. They won just twice, but they lost six of their last ten games. They've given up two goals or more in four of their last five games due to their weak defense, but they could also score two goals or more in the last four games. In this competition, they have won just one match at home.
After losing to Brentford 1-2 at home prior to the World Cup, Manchester City won the League Cup with a 3-2 victory over Liverpool. They have won six of the last eight games, but they have only kept one clean sheet in the last five. In addition, the Bules scored a total of 11 goals in their previous two matches against Leeds United.
Manchester City has had an impressive season, but Leeds United is the underdog going into this round. Since both teams have recently played high-scoring contests, I will also back a game in which both teams score.
