Aston Villa will be looking to snap a five-game winless streak when they welcome basement boys Norwich City to Villa Park on Saturday.

The Canaries have been the worst team in the competition so far, so it's no surprise that they're at the bottom. Norwich are in such a precarious position with only five games remaining in the season that they must immediately strive for a perfect record.

Norwich has only won five games this season, and it should be mentioned that they have allowed the most goals in the division this season. Getting out of the relegation zone currently appears to be a near-impossible mission for Dean Smith's side, who appeared to have hung up their boots after last week's 3-0 loss to Newcastle United.

Dean Smith, unlike his Aston Villa counterpart, is dealing with a number of pressing injury concerns. Adam Idah (knee), Andrew Omobamidele (back), and Ozan Kabak (hamstring) have all been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Kabak has been forced to return to his parent club Schalke for treatment, and his loan term with Norwich City is set to expire this summer. Lukas Rupp's knee twitch, meanwhile, will need to be evaluated.

Kortney Hause has been unable to participate in the last six matchday squads due to an abdominal issue. On Saturday, he appears to be out of contention once more. Bertrand Traore and Morgan Sanson were both unable to go to Leicester last weekend, with Traore requiring an MRI on his groin to determine the extent of his injury, while Sanson is believed to have a knock that merely requires rest. Both players will be sidelined for the match against Norwich.

Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard is anticipated to revert to his usual 4-3-3 formation after using the 4-3-2-1 formation in the last match. For the upcoming home game, Emiliano Martinez will continue to play between the pipes.

It's now or never for Norwich this Saturday, and they'll put up a strong fight against an Aston Villa side that has struggled for consistency in recent weeks. Although the Villans are in poor form, Norwich City have a poor road record this season. The Canaries have only picked up nine points in 16 away games this season.

In their last 10 Premier League games, they have only won one. While the hosts should get the job done and maybe relegate the visitors, considering their recent struggles on both sides of the ball, it's difficult to pick the Villains to win convincingly against a spirited Canaries team.
